Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Orthoptic department. You will be working within a team of 6 Orthoptists, 1 Optician and 5 Ophthalmic Technicians.

The job role is 30 hours a week based in Barnsley hospital Ophthalmology department.

Main duties of the job

Within the hospital setting the candidate would carry out OCT scans and visual field tests on patients. This is vital information needed for the doctors to make a clinical diagnosis and a correct treatment plan for patients eye conditions.

Previous ophthalmology experience is desirable but not essential, as thorough training will be provided within the department.
