Barnsley
Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Operational Support
Manager to join our Medicine Division on a jobshare basis. Working 15 hours
per week, you will provide operational and administrative leadership for both
our Cardiology and Respiratory services.
You
will be instrumental in supporting patient flow, performance targets, workforce
planning, and the delivery of highquality outcomes

Main duties of the job
This
key Band 6 role will support the day-to-day operational management and service delivery
within Cardiology and Respiratory Services, ensuring safe, effective, and
efficient patient care. You will work closely with clinical and operational
teams to maintain service performance, support quality improvement initiatives,
and contribute to the strategic development of these vital specialties.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provide operational leadership
and support across Cardiology and Respiratory services.
Work collaboratively with
clinical leads, nursing teams, and administrative staff.
Support service planning,
capacity and demand management, and delivery of performance targets.
Lead on day-to-day
problem-solving and escalation of service pressures.
Contribute to the
implementation of quality and safety improvement programmes.
Support workforce planning and
staff engagement within the services.
