Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our HR Business Partner team. The post will support one of the Trusts clinical business units working within a HR Business Partner model. You will work with managers and senior leaders within your CBU to support them in achieving the Trusts strategic ambitions, whilst providing practical advice on such things as employee relation issues, organizational change, TUPE etc.

You will also have line management responsibility for a Human Resources Officer.

The role is varied and no two days are the same. You will represent the HR Business Partner team at regular business and performance meetings and produce reports as required.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, coaching and negotiating skills and the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner are essential to working in the role. The team work on a hybrid basis and we are happy to consider options for flexible working to support your work life balance.

Main duties of the job

To ensure that Clinical Business Units of the Trust are provided with an effective, efficient and professional HR Business Partner service

To provide effective supervision, management and support to the HR Officers and to the wider Operational HR function.

To monitor and co-ordinate the work of the HR Officers and ensure that satisfactory standards of service and quality are being adhered to.

To provide operational HR support and highly specialised advice to Clinical Business Units for more complex HR issues such as Organisational change.

To provide support and deputise for the Associate Director of HR & OD as and when required.

To manage own case load of employee relations activities.

To contribute to the development and maintenance of Trust employment policies and procedures, and that activities are compliant with legislation, NHS standards and accepted good practice.
