An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapists to join a dynamic and continually developing Occupational Therapy Service at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduate or experienced occupational therapists to develop knowledge and skills working within an acute hospital trust and includes our new community rotations (Discharge to Assess team and Acorn Rehabilitation Unit). We are seeking highly motivated Occupational Therapists with good assessment and treatment planning skills. You will also have excellent team working, time management and communication skills. Working with multi-professional teams, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain excellent experience from the following range of physical specialities: Orthopaedics, Medical Early Intervention, Discharge to Assess (community), Stroke and Neurology, Urgent Care, and the Acorn Rehabilitation Unit (in-patient rehabilitation). Successful candidates will be expected to work in a flexible way to cover a 7-day working week.
Main duties of the job
Are you are a qualified OT who has been out of practice for longer than 2 years and looking to return to working in the Profession? If yes, this is a fantastic opportunity to start your journey to being on the HCPC register with a placement at Barnsley Hospital. We have had success in helping professionals Return to Practice and would welcome your application.
This role will be supported by Senior Occupational Therapists offering supervision support and training. A thorough induction including a supernummery period will be provided.
Barnsley is located within easy access to the major cities of Sheffield and Leeds, and also benefits from bordering on the scenic Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Park.
