Job summary
We are seeking to recruit well motivated individuals to work in our busy Outpatients Department where you will carry out a full range of duties in order to provide an effective and efficient service.
For this role it is essential that you are educated to O level/GCSE Standard (grades A-C), NVQ in Customer Care or Business Administration or equivalent, with experience of working in an outpatient department.
With good communication and interpersonal skills, you will have experience of communicating with a wide range of people on all levels either by telephone or face to face. You will be able to work on your own initiative, prioritising your workload and paying attention to detail at all times whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be a good team player with a flexible approach to work, pleasant personality and positive outlook.
Working hours: 37.5 hours a week.
Main duties of the job
Booking of all appointments in line with the NHS Plan Targets and Patient Choice.
To be responsible for all clinic capacity ensuring all vacant new patient slots are utilized in line with current protocols and to the maximum waiting times set for the service.
Action Service Managers requests for the cancellation, reduction & re-instatement of clinics and reschedule patients around rotas, annual leave and sickness.
Preparing complex statistics and data relevant service managers using various computer software packages. Supply reports of demand, activity and by speciality waiting times..
To be responsible for all clinic capacity ensuring all vacant slots are utilized.
Dealing with all patient enquires and problems.
Manage Outpatient review list and inform clinicians and Service managers of any capacity issues.
