We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead our Haematology and Oncology clinical Service and be a lead contributor to developing Pharmacist-led clinics to review and prescribe chemotherapy for patients at the trust. As well as being able to demonstrate strong leadership and service development skills, you will be able to exercise advanced clinical skills by participating in ward rounds and within MDT discussions. Strong communication skill and team working is necessary as you will be working in close collaboration with the Aseptics Services Department, Haematology Ward, Chemotherapy Unit and Western Park Outreach Clinics.

Main duties of the job

To manage, provide professional leadership and act as the lead Pharmacist for Haematology and Oncology clinical services at BHNFT, ensuring compliance with national and local guidelines relevant to the area.

To clinically verify chemotherapy prescriptions and where necessary advising and liaising with oncologists and haematologists regarding dose alterations and optimisation.

To be an active member of the Haematology ward round and various MDT discussions

To work closely with the Aseptic Services Department to ensure treatment is Manufactured and released in a timely manner.
