Applicants must have a NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or 4 GCSEs to include Maths, English and 2 Sciences and the commitment to undertake training to meet requirements.
Previous hospital experience is not required.

This post is full-time, 37.5hrs per week and your contracted hours will be worked over 5 days, including participation in the weekend, late night, and bank holiday rotas. We will also consider flexible working solutions.
Main duties of the job
Dispensing medication including unlicensed drugs, cytotoxic drugs, inpatient and outpatient prescriptions and stock/over-labelled items in accordance with the agreed safe systems of work practice.
Rotation within the pharmacy department of the Trust Inpatients and Outpatients
Dispensing monitored dosage systems
Supporting Trust initiatives for the rapid discharge of patients by swiftly and accurately dispensing discharge medication.
Assisting in the maintenance of reasonable stock levels and the performance of the daily rolling stock takes to comply with audit requirements.
Clerical duties booking in prescriptions and ensuring pharmacy systems are being used for discharge and tracking of medications, filling,Answering telephone and face to face queries from a wide range of staff groups, patients and carers, and refer appropriate queries to the relevant member of the pharmacy team when necessary.
Patient counselling in accordance with pharmacy procedures within out patients when handing medications out.
Assisting in the receipt and issue of goods in the pharmacy, checking delivery notes and invoices if required
To participate in Saturday Sunday and Bank Holiday rota and late-night duties.
To comply with mandatory training requirement and with all components of the Trusts Infection Control Policy and the Hygiene Code, ensuring compliance with any specific role responsibilities outlined within this policy.
