We currently have a vacancy for a committed and enthusiastic individual to complement the established unit/team in delivering high quality care that is rapidly adapting to meet the needs of the patient and the development of the unit. Experience of each specialty is not essential as a training package is available and full support will be given to applicants.
We are looking for a dedicated, flexible and well-motivated Operating Department Practitioner with a keen interest in working in the theatre department.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work all out of hours shifts, these include nights, afters and weekends.
This is a permanent post in Main Theatres. The department operates 24/7 365 days a year including bank holidays.
You will be expected to attend the resuscitation unit in A & E and be part of the hospital arrest team. Candidates must have good organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to develop their own professional knowledge
You will work in a clinical enviroment of 9 main theatres and 1 emergency obstetric theatre.
