An exciting opportunity has arisen at Theatres in King George Hospital for highly motivated and driven Senior Registered Nurses. We are one of the 8 Trust in the entire NHS to be known as established Surgical Elective Hub. As a senior theatre practitioner, with experience in multiple specialties, you will assist in integrated clinical leadership to care for patients in the Operating Theatre environment to the highest possible standard and to develop practice with support from the Team Leader.You will be a valuable member of our supportive theatre team. Main duties of the job

To provide integrated clinical leadership to a team of nurses within the department in order to care for patients in the Operating Theatre environment, to the highest possible standard and to develop practice with support from the Team Leader.

To assume responsibility for the operational management of staff and resources in the absence of the Team Leader, taking a lead in a specific aspect of operational management in the Theatre setting.

We run a Women's Health Hubin Ilford; an Ageing Well Centrein Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospitaland at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The majority of our 8,400 staff - who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can work flexiblyand more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes. We're proud to be a London Living Wageemployer.
