Job summary

We have the opportunity for a motivated physiotherapist to join the Band 5 rotation scheme at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience in Muscular Skeletal Outpatients, Fraility, Acute Stroke, Stroke Rehab, Neurosciences, Orthopaedics, Pelvic Health, Medical Specialities, Acute Elderly, ITU and Respiratory. As a band 5 physiotherapist, you will receive regular in-service training and supervision by experienced therapists and have the chance to be involved in service development and clinical supervision of students.

Main duties of the job

Through a holistic approach, provide a competent standard of physiotherapy service, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries. Rotations include neurosciences, care of the elderly, acute stroke, stroke rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgery, ITU, acute frailty, muscular skeletal outpatients, pelvic health and medical specialities.

We run a Women's Health Hubin Ilford; an Ageing Well Centrein Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospitaland at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The majority of our 8,400 staff - who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.
