Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered Pharmacy Technicians to join our team based at Queen's Hospital in Romford. Duties include:
Clinical ward-based duties, including assessment of patient's own drugs and drug history taking.
Inpatient, out-patient & controlled drug dispensing.
Discharge counselling.
We have a comprehensive in-house training package which will enable you to develop as a clinical ward-based pharmacy technician.
We are looking for a pharmacy technician with a NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent, who is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You should also have an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification. We will consider newly qualified pharmacy technicians or pharmacy technicians about to qualify.
As a Trust we have a variety of specialities, including respiratory, endocrine, neurology & stroke, oncology, frailty and acute care, allowing our staff to continue learning and gain additional knowledge and experience throughout their daily work.
You must be hard working, accurate and have some experience of working in a UK hospital.

The post holder will carry out routine pharmaceutical duties in a professional manner and provide a high quality, patient orientated service, both in dispensaries and on the wards

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.
