Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with an interest in Hand Therapy to join our dynamic team at BHRUT. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through expert evaluation and rehabilitation of hand injuries.

Our team is based across 2 sites, King George Hospital and Queens Hospital, and provides Hand Therapy services for 3 London boroughs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a highly experienced team, be involved in service development and in-service training, and provide specialist evidence-based hand therapy. Our team is supportive and collaborative, with rewarding opportunities for professional development and making a real difference in patients' lives.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy/ OT service, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries

To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, Junior staff and Students on placement

Our patients are benefitting from our Women's Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George's Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.

The majority of our 8,000 staff - who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can work flexibly and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes. We're proud to be a London Living Wage employer.
