Job summary

The Women and Child Health division is currently seeking to recruit an experienced full-time (Patient Pathway Coordinator) to join our Children's Directorate.

This role is very demanding and you will be expected to provide administrative support to a team of Clinicians.

The Women and Child Health division is currently seeking to recruit an experienced full time (37.5 hours per week working on Monday to Friday) Medical Secretary (Patient Pathway Coordinator) to join our Children's Directorate.

This role is very demanding and you will be expected to provide administrative support to a team of clinicians as well as audio typing of medical correspondence and knowledge of paediatric/Neonatal services and it's functioning.

You will be able to provide evidence for experience in dealing with patients via telephone in a professional calm manner in accordance with Trust's PRIDE values, good computer skills and knowledge of patients' administrative system.

Main duties of the job

To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Neonatal clinical tea To manage and prioritise a busy workload using a high level of initiative

To demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of NHS staff and patients who attend the clinic

Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring excellent office and information systems

To ensure the relevant information is entered promptly and accurately onto the EPR System, always meeting the requirements of the Trust's Patient Access Policy

To liaise with patients and establish good working relationships with other members of the team

To provide cover for other Patient Pathway Co-ordinators in their absence and support for clinic prep as required.

To monitor and escalate waiting times and changes seen

To compile, save and dispatch accurately and within a set time frame end of month reports

Liaise with the relevant Service Managers regularly to review waiting times
