Job summary

This new post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacy professional who is seeking to develop their skills in production and compliance in the radiopharmacy setting. The post holder will work collaboratively with both Nuclear Medicine and Pharmacy colleagues to provide a programme of testing, validation and monitoring which will facilitate compliance with all national standards for the production of radiopharmaceutical medicinal products. We seek someone who is motivated to use their subject matter expertise to lead the department in the development of new systems and processes which will maximise production efficiency whilst maintaining product quality. This role will require the post holder to be at Queen's Hospital for the majority of the time but there may be flexibility to work from home on occasions. Main duties of the job

To lead in the development of systems and processes to maintain compliance with all national standards for radiopharmaceutical medicinal product safety and governance. To work closely with the BHRUT pharmacy quality assurance team to provide assurance on all products produced in the BHRUT Radiopharmacy through a programme of testing, validation, and monitoring. To provide advice and training to all Radiopharmacy production staff with respect to radiopharmaceutical product safety and governance.

We're looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It'll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
