We are looking for a suitably qualified staff for MRI Specialist Radiographer post within BHRUT. The Post holder will be responsible for managing, upholding, and supporting MRI Lead Radiographer a safe and effective MRI imaging service providing support to the management team and working collaboratively with the MRI team of radiographers, Students, and support workers, in addition to the wider multi-disciplinary team.

We are a very large Radiology Department having Seven CT scanners and large ultrasound department for general and gynae as well as a dedicated Interventional Theatre Suite. We have Seven MRI scanners across BHRUT and a rental MRI scanner due to increase number of referrals year on year.
BHR is one of the largest associate teaching hospitals providing acute care for over 1,000,000 people from across two main sites - Queen's and King George Hospital. The Queen's Hospital is situated close to the A12, within walking distance of Romford British Rail Station and local amenities. King George Hospital is situated in Barley Lane, Goodmayes with good transport links.
Main duties of the job
To lead the technical/radiographer staff, and to further develop an efficient MRI service for BHRUT.
The post-holder will participate in the effective day to day running of the MRI service, standardising protocols, managing the patient bookings and waiting list and managing radiographers and radiology support worker throughout all areas.
Ensuring MRI service is maintained with training of staff to perform in accordance with Trusts policy including comprehensive competency assessments.
In conjunction with MRI Superintendent Radiographer, promote continuous improvements in service delivery and quality within all areas of the MRI service, using modern methods to improve productivity, leading in the delivery of service and workforce transformation, and re-design.
The post-holder will manage the work of staff in the department and help develop culture in which members of staff are continuously improving the delivery of high-quality service. Ensuring the development and acceptance of challenging but realistic objectives for staff through leadership, motivation and systematic performance management achieved the required results.
