Band 8d Associate Director of Informatics
This job is now closed
Job summary
Over the past three years, BHRUT has made significant progress in its digital development with the support of a number of joint roles with NELFT, including a shared Director of Health Informatics. In that period we have invested over £30m in digital: agile working is now supported by enhanced end use devices, the servers and data centre are more robust and secure and the last part of the infrastructure - the network - is ready for implementation over the next two years. We have also started to transform the way we use digital, with significant developments with System C led by our new and expanded clinical informatics teams.
Like all support services, digital needs to be shaped by the organisations it supports and it now needs to focus on making progress with the shared electronic patient record system with Barts Health. Accordingly, we will be separating the joint roles with NELFT so that each Trust has its own lead director for digital, supported by a dedicated team.
In BHRUT, this will consist of a Band 9 Director of Informatics supported by three Band 8d assistant director roles for applications, infrastructure and data warehouse and integration roles. These changes do not affect business intelligence or clinical informatics roles which are already dedicated to BHRUT.
