The EPR Team and Workforce, Tranformation and Resourcing Team are excited to announce a fixed term or secondment opportunity to join us as our Digital Workforce Improvement Lead.
Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT) is in the process of implementing a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR), and this has contributed to a real appetite for digital transformation across the organisation.
The Digital Workforce Improvement Lead will work across both teams to bring this emphasis on digital transformation to our workforce functions, leading a programme of work designed to improve our resourcing and recruitment processes, retention of key workforce groups, and ensure connected working to allow maximum realisation of EPR and wider digital transformation benefits.
The postholder will also play a key role in supporting retention and development of the EPR programme team, recognising the importance of a stable and motivated team in delivering such large-scale transformation.
We are seeking an individual with significant NHS and private sector recruitment and resourcing experience, experience of managing improvement projects, and who possesses significant insight and understanding of EPRs and the NHS digital landscape.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will work closely with the Head of EPR Workforce and wider Clinical Informatics team to ensure that recommended digital initiatives within Workforce, Transformation and Resourcing are aligned to the EPR, recognising and taking advantage of opportunities to bring together multi-disciplinary groups from across Informatics and People and Culture.
There will be a responsibility to support development of strategy and make recommendations for digital workforce improvement and efficiencies, driving operational change within BHRUT and working closely with colleagues at Barts Health NHS Trust and across NEL ICB.
The postholder will be a senior member of the Workforce Transformation and EPR Programme teams, and will share digital improvement knowledge, mentorship and coaching to all members of the relevant teams.

The Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital is one of eight to be accredited as part of a national scheme; the Care Quality Commission has raised the ratings forurgent and emergency careat Queen's and King George hospitals; anddata released by NHS Englandshowed that the Trust was the most improved in 2023 for reducing waits for emergency care.
We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre; Radiotherapy Centre; Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. We're also part of the North East London Cancer Alliance.
