An exciting rotational job opportunity has arisen for a dynamic clinical pharmacist to join our expanding Anaesthetics and Critical Care Pharmacy team. Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT) is one of the largest acute Trusts serving a large and diverse population.
Benefiting from two new state-of-the art 15-bedded critical care units following significant investment in the service, BHRUT offers an expanded critical care bed-base of 65 beds across six units inclusive of a tertiary neurosciences centre, acute care, and high dependency care wards. The Anaesthetics and Critical Care Pharmacy team are also responsible for pharmacy services to Theatres, Recovery and Post-Anaesthetics Care Unit, Acute and Chronic Pain Services and Resuscitation services within the Trust.
Our major sites, King George Hospital in Ilford and Queen's Hospital in Romford, are in excellent locations less than 30minutes from Central London.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient orientated pharmacy services to the Anaesthetics and Critical Care Division, inclusive of Critical Care, High Dependency, Theatres and the Pain Service. He/she will deliver a ward-based service to the High Dependency Unit and have the opportunity to train to provide to pharmaceutical care to Level 3 patients on General Critical Care and Neuro Critical Care. The post holder will work closely with senior colleagues and clinical technicians to ensure the provision of an integrated and efficient service.
The post holder will be based within the pharmacy department and will assist in the development of policies, guidelines and protocols under the direction of the Lead Pharmacist, Anaesthetics and Critical Care. Personal performance will be assessed through performance review.

We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre; Radiotherapy Centre; Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. We're also pleased to be part of the NEL Cancer Alliance.
