This P2P Transactional Procurement Officer role will support with key transactional procurement operations deliverables across all teams within the Commercial Procurement Services team, as well as supporting initiatives across North East London (NEL).
This role will assist with the implementation of the BHRUT vision and strategy for Commercial Procurement, as approved by the Trust Board, with a specific focus on supporting across the entire spectrum of Procurement Operations. This role will support the Trust towards delivering a Best in Class Commercial Procurement Service for BHRUT and Integrated Collaboration across North East London (NEL).
The role will also involve working as part of a team of Procurement Operations staff to support with all transactional P2P, data analytics, sourcing, catalogue, contract management and operational performance management activities. Additionally, this role will work and support collaboratively in a matrix structure on a project and programme specific basis with other teams across the Commercial Procurement Services function and wider Trust functional services/divisions, as directed by the Commercial P2P Operations Manager, Head of Commercial Procurement Operations and/or Director of Commercial Procurement Services.
Main duties of the job
This role will support the Commercial P2P Operations Manager and Head of Commercial Procurement Operations, to maximise operational performance, governance and compliance, whilst minimising risk and reducing costs in order to improve the overall financial/operational performance of BHRUT.
This role will report directly to the Commercial P2P Operations Manager , leading on operational delivery across P2P sourcing (requisition/Purchase Order (PO) and invoice hold processing), as well as supporting catalogue and contract management activities across non-clinical and clinical areas to support the direction of BHRUT and NEL. As part of this role, key deliverables will include supporting key aspects of operational planning and delivery, as well as supporting the identification and delivery of cash releasing and non-cash releasing efficiencies to support the Trust's wider Quality Cost Improvement Programme (QCIP) savings agenda.

We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre; Radiotherapy Centre; Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. We're also pleased to be part of the NEL Cancer Alliance.
