B7 Team Lead/Occupational Therapist (Community) 37.5 or 30 hours considered, based at Garswood Clinic, St Helens
St Helens and Knowsley Community Specialist Rehabilitation Team provides specialist inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to patients with complex rehabilitation needs, as part of Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN) .
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced occupational therapist to utilise or further develop clinical leadership skills by providing team lead support to our small and friendly rehab team. Your key roles would be to act as an initial point of contact for referrers, triage referrals and provide oversight to case-loads, supported by senior therapists, contributing clinically as needed. In addition, you will provide day-to-day support and line-management to a very small group of skilled clinicians and support staff.
Regular support and development will be provided by the overall service lead, in addition to peer support with the team lead in our other community team. A variety of leadership, professional and clinical development opportunities are available.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will take a key role in the clinical leadership and day-to-day management of the Community Specialist Rehabilitation Service (CSRS) Team provided by the Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN), by providing clinical leadership to a designated locality team.
To provide day-to-day oversight of the inter-disciplinary service to ensure effective running of the service and patient flow, promote high clinical quality are ensure staff are appropriately supported.
To operationally manage designated team members across the inter-disciplinary team on a day-to-day basis and provide overall support, guidance, direction and feedback to staff as required.
To ensure referrals to the team are appropriately and efficiently managed through effective triage and ongoing coordination and structured review of care.
To directly contribute to the management of the workload by maintaining a small case-load within own clinical profession as required. To autonomously balance clinical and non-clinical demands in line with requirements at that time in order to manage service demand.
To work collaboratively across the community service and interface with clinical and professional leads to ensure appropriate professional and clinical support, including appraisal, performance management and identification of training needs relative to the service.
