Job summary
We are looking for a HCPC registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to lead our Acute Inpatient Therapy Service at The Walton Centre. You will be accountable for the delivery of our acute service, with responsibility for our registered staff including our support workforce. You must have demonstrable experience of leading multiprofessional teams and high level clinical skill working with patients with Neurological conditions in an acute setting. Experience of service development and embedding evidence based practice is also essential.
As a newly established role you will be ensure we deliver high quality, safe and effective care which meets the needs of our patients at the Walton Centre. Working closely with the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Team Leads you will provide leadership and expert guidance to ensure we continuously deliver person centred co-ordinated care. As an expert practitioner and clinical lead for our acute wards, driving service improvement, with an emphasis on developing services that are fit for the future and aligned with Trust and service objectives will be a priority.
An ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders is key to the success of this role. You will supported by the Head of Therapies/ AHP Lead in addition to your Clinical Lead peers and clinical teams. Main duties of the job
- To provide multidisciplinary clinical and operational leadership within the Therapies Service
- To support the Head of Service in day to day management of the Therapies Service, deputising as appropriate
- Providing direct line management supervision and support to all clinical and non-clinical staff including registered health care professionals, clinical support workers, apprentices and students in addition to administrative staff
- Maintain a clinical case load appropriate to own clinical profession, demonstrating expert knowledge and skill within area of work, acting as a resource to others within and outside of the profession
