An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Therapies Service, as a Clinical Business Manager. The Therapies Service is responsible for a wide range inpatient and outpatient services.
The successful applicant will be a key member of the Therapies Management Team, reporting to the Head of Service and working closely with the Clinical Directors and senior nursing teams to ensure delivery of effective, efficient, patient centered care.
This role will support the Head of Therapies in the delivery, aims and objectives of the Therapies Department and wider services for Allied Health Professionals.
You will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the Trust's strategy and will ensure that all relevant policies and national standards are implemented and maintained.
You will manage and develop our services working alongside our inspirational teams, whilst providing excellent highly efficient care to patients.
You should possess excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to demonstrate your ability to remain positive in challenging times.
The post will be based at The Walton Centre.
Main duties of the job
Through strong leadership ensure the Therapies Service is managed effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.Ensure that the needs of patients are paramount to the way in which services are delivered and to foster a culture in which all patients are treated with dignity and respect.
Support the Head of Therapies in the delivery of services, including effective resource and performance management to achieve clinical objectives.Proactively develop and implement service development initiatives to meet Department and Trust's strategic objectives.
Responsible for the activity and performance agenda for the Department working closely with clinical leads and team leads.To play a key role in the demand and capacity planning process yearly and ad-hoc to support the clinical and operational staff ensuring understanding, confidence and engagement.
Lead on development and maintenance of medium and long term activity planning that inform the head of service and clinical leads on the capacity required of the Therapy Service for inpatients and outpatients.
Responsible for providing management, guidance and direction across the service including direct line management responsibility and recruitment, appraisal, CPD and management of poor performance and absence.
Responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and patients in all areas of their function.
