Job summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a busy, dynamic, rapidly changing headache service in a regional neuroscience centre, based in a diverse and attractive city. Your role will be key in delivering high quality, accessible care for people with a wide variety of debilitating, refractory headache disorders in clinics.
Main duties of the job
As part of a consultant-led team, you will play an integral role in delivering headache management at The Walton Centr. The role involves providing GP support for outpatient care at The Walton Centre and running a refractory headache clinic, under supervision by experienced neurology consultants.
You will be to expected review and manage patients with variety of headache disorders including but not limited to migraine, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, trigeminal neuralgia and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Delivering advanced headache treatment options as per national and local pathways and guidelines. A tailored job plan will be provided to accommodate regular outpatient clinics in the relevant speciality area.
