Main duties of the job

This is an excellent opportunity for training and research in the field of complex pain techniques, including neuromodulation, to meet the future needs of trained pain management experts and to improve research output from these complex pain treatments. We do not have a dedicated pain neuromodulation fellowship at the moment and are aware of significant interest in this field. There is an active education program within the Pain Management Service. The weekly education session provides excellent presentations and discussions, together with audit presentations, and is attended by the Pain Consultants, Neurosurgeons and the multidisciplinary team, as well as Pain Consultants and staff from other units. Support for preparation towards the FFPMRCA exam is provided, and the exam success rate over the last 6 years has been 100%. The Pain Research Institute holds regular research discussion meetings, and there are regular journal club meetings.
