Job purpose

This is a new fixed term post to provide training opportunity in Diagnostic Neuroradiology.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Duties

The clinical duties will be in line with those of a senior Diagnostic Neuroradiology trainee who has had previous experience in Neuroradiology (ideally for about 1 year). Full FRCR is essential.

The successful applicant will have training opportunities in various aspects of Diagnostic Neuroradiology. Training will be guided by the RCR curriculum for specialist training in Neuroradiology and guidance from the British Society of Neuroradiologists.

The successful applicant will also be expected to support day to day diagnostic services as per competency achieved.

Neuroradiology on-call cover will be at the frequency of 1:5 for weekdays and 1:6 for weekends.

The successful candidate will cover Radiology Duty sessions (typically one session every week).

Attendance and Neuroradiology representation at a wide range of Clinico-Radiology meetings (e.g. Complex Spine, Epilepsy Surgery, Neuro-oncology, Neurology etc.).

Active participation in departmental audit and research.

Successful candidate will also have the opportunity to train in and support spinal interventional procedures.
