Job summary
This post is to strengthen the existing team of Gynaecologists at the Liverpool Women's Hospital. The team provides care to women across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales, and the Isle of Mann.
The successful candidate will play an important role in assisting with the provision of general gynaecology, including emergency gynaecology, outpatient general and special interest gynaecology clinics as well as inpatient elective gynaecological surgery both major and minimal access.
The successful candidate may participate in provision of emergency gynaecology. This will not include on call out of hours but may include being a part of 'hot week' team for general gynaecology. Theywill be expected to contribute to medical education for undergraduate and postgraduate doctors.

Essential
- Full GMC registration and license to practice
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- MRCOG or equivalent CCST
- Relevant CCT or equivalent ("equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC)
Desirable
- Additional postgraduate qualifications e.g. MD/PhD/MSC
Clinical experience & skills
Essential
- Work independently in outpatient clinics & theatre
- ATSM / SITMs Colposcopy
Desirable
- ATSM in Vulval Medicine and Benign Gynaecology
- Ability to develop and lead a service
