Fantastic secondment opportunity for an ambitious nurse, midwife or AHP to join Liverpool Women's, as Deputy to the Chief Nurse working across all areas of the professional and corporate portfolio

This is a development opportunity ringfenced to applicants in Cheshire and Merseyside.

Main duties of the job

The Deputy Chief Nursing Officer / Allied Health professional (DCN/ AHP) is a key role within the corporate team who, alongside the Director of Midwifery (DoM), provides the Chief Nursing (CN) with critical leadership support in leading the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (AHP) workforce and delivering high standards of care and experience to women, children, young people and their families.

In addition, the Deputy Chief Nurse/AHP will work closely with the Associate Director of Quality Governance to provide assurance of high standards of quality, safety, and experience, demonstrating ambitious clinical outcome measures.

The Deputy Chief Nurse / AHP will, on behalf of the Chief Nurse lead on health inequalities in developing and implementing models of service delivery to tackle health inequalities, bringing fresh and innovative approaches to coproduction.

The Deputy Chief Nurse/ AHP will act as a Deputy to the Chief Nurse across all areas of the portfolio and deputise for the Chief Nurse across a range of functions and meetings (internal and external) and during periods of leave/absence.
