An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical support worker to join us on the Gynaecology Outpatients Department with flexible hours over 7 days.
When current staff where asked to describe the department in one word they used: "Enthusiastic", "teamwork", "fun", "amazing", "friendly", "collaborative" and "opportunities". Outpatients won team of the month in July 2021 for their contribution to the welfare of the hospital.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking clinical support worker to our well established team. Candidates should have the ability, passion and knowledge to take on a busy outpatient environment and uphold our standards of care and aim for the best patient experience we can provide. The successful candidate would also provide support for patients and clinicians during routine consultations and diagnostic procedures. The specialities you will work with include; Endometriosis, Vulval, Colposcopy, Oncology, General Gynaecology and Urogynacology. Due to the variety of clinics within outpatients, this role would be well suited to an individual who enjoys a varied role and adapts well to change.

The trust operates a Gynaecology Ambulatory service (daycase procedures) within the outpatient department. The service currently runs 7 ambulatory sessions per week seeing approximately 35 patients. We have 4 Ambulatory consultants that you would be working closely with. In the Ambulatory suite we perform a number of different procedures, these include hysteroscopy, removal of fibroids and polyps, cystoscopy and endometrial ablation. We are one of a few hospital trusts who have just introduced a new procedure Sonata using pioneering technology to enhance patient care.
