The post holder will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the ward/department in the absence of the ward/department manager, who holds continuing responsibility. Key responsibilities will include the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, effective leadership and staff management/development. The post holder will always work within the NMC's Code of Professional Conduct.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work as a Band 6 Ward Sister within the Haemato-Oncology Bone Marrow Transplant Unitwhich is JACIE accredited based atthe Clatterbridge Cancer Centre-Liverpool.
The post will provide support to the Matron, Ward Manager registered nurses and the multi-professional team. Excellent communications skills and clerical skills are essential. Individuals should becommitted, motivated and compassionate to complement the existing team.You will be encouraged to expand and develop your knowledge, skills and competencies within a supportive and friendly environment.
