An exciting development opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Ward Manager within the outpatient department at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. This post is a full-time, permanent position and involves agile working between Liverpool, Aintree and Paddington sites, with occasional cover at the Wirral site.We are seeking a dynamic registered Nurse with outpatient experience to join the management team. Successful candidate will support the ward manager with managerial duties, change management and be visible clinically within the department.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide visible clinical leadership and be a point of escalation and role model for the other registered nurses within the department. The successful candidate will assist the outpatient department manager with managerial duties including, but not limited to, ensuring safe staffing across all three outpatient sites with consideration for skillsets; rostering and absence management; PADRs; recruitment selection; incident response etc.
Additionally, the post holder will be required to support with the development and maintenance of staff clinical competencies within the department to ensure safe and effective care is being delivered, optimise service delivery and support staff professional development.
