This exciting new opportunity has risen for an motivated and enthusiastic individual to work alongside the occupational therapy and physiotherapy team at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
This is a 12 month fixed term post to support the development of the new CAR-T pathway.
You will receive comprehensive induction and training, regular peer support, in-service training and regular clinical supervisions.
The successful candidate will primarily be based at the Liverpool site, travel may be required across sites.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Practitioner will be directly involved in the delivery of the therapy interventions at different stages of the patient's treatment pathway. The assistant practitioner will be required to review and treat patients without direct supervision, in addition to carrying out delegated tasks provided by the physiotherapists and occupational therapists leading the CAR-T therapy pathway. The primary goal is to help patients maintain or improve their independence and quality of life.
The post holder will be encouraged to work as part of a multi-disciplinary, utilising excellent interpersonal skills with the inpatient setting and with external services.

- Level 4/5 apprenticeship such as assistant practitioner in health care apprenticeship (Level 5 qualification such as foundation degree relevant to health care

- Good understanding of the roles of allied health professionals
- Able to demonstrate awareness of NHS purpose and who it serves
