An exciting opportunity has arisen for aImmunotherapy Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our immunotherapy team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. This role is based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool, however you will be required to travel between our network hospital sites. The post holder will support the immunotherapy team delivering nurse led services for patients receiving treatment with immunotherapy.

You should possess excellent communication and advanced clinical skills, be highly motivated and ideally have a back ground in cancer nursing. Recent experience in working within the speciality of immunotherapy would be essential. You will need to be resilient and able to influence in order to cope with the demands of the role and the service need.This is a really exciting time to work within the specialism of cancer nursing and immunotherapy.The post holder will provide specialist advice and support to patient's experiencing the side effects associated with immunotherapy, as well as providing education and support to staff throughout the trust.

We would consider a trainee ANP who is currently on their Master pathway.

Main duties of the job

The Immunotherapy (IO) Toxicity service is a regional pan-tumour service supporting patients with immune related adverse events secondary to oncological immunotherapy. The team support both inpatients and outpatients following the identification of irAEs and work alongside the patients' primary oncology teams to support patients throughout their toxicity journey. The team take referrals from across the region and provide digital and face to face monitoring for patients throughout their toxicity treatment.

In addition to this the team co-ordinate and support the delivery of day case management including IV methylprednisolone and Infliximab and deliver acute reviews in the central Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU). Further services include a weekly ambulatory clinic for complex toxicity management, patients on long term immunosuppression and an outpatient clinic for those patients experiencing late effects from Immunotherapy. Furthermore the team conduct a twice weekly inpatient ward round, a weekly Boardround, a weekly joint cardio-oncology ward round/patient review and a clinical advisory meeting with all the regional AO teams twice weekly.

In addition the team collaborates with a medical specialties to coordinate the management of complex toxicities. There are established referral pathways for investigations including endoscopy and cardiac MRI. The team also provide region wide education to both oncology and non-oncology teams.
