An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietetic Assistant to join the Dietetic Team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. You will be based at CCC_L, our new hospital in central Liverpool. You may also be asked to support the team at CCC-Wirral and CCC-Aintree
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietetic assistant to join the Dietetic team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust. You will be working as part of the wider dietetic and AHP team to help provide specialist dietetic services to patients with cancer.

The role will include supporting the Dietitians by triaging referrals, reviewing and monitoring patients, and undertaking related administrative tasks in accordance with the British Dietetic Association's code of professional conduct for dietetic assistants.
Main duties of the job
- To support the registered dietitians by reviewing, monitoring and advising patients, and undertaking related administration in accordance with the British Dietetic Association (BDA) code of professional conduct for dietetic assistants.
- Act as an intermediary between the dietetic and catering departments, enhancing communication to achieve the optimal provision of nutrition for patients in hospital.
- Participate in project work which may be for the benefit of the patient or the dietetic department.
- Work with the registered dietitians and Clinical Nutrition Nurses and, under instruction, develop and deliver education and training to healthcare professionals and patients and their carers.
- Monitor and rotate stocks of nutritional supplements and feeds at ward level and within the radiotherapy department, ensuring appropriate supplies are ordered from pharmacy.
