Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Research & Innovation team as a Research Officer. The successful candidate will be based within the R&I department as part of the administration team and will be expected to travel across CCC sites at Liverpool, Aintree, Halton and Wirral, to recruit patients into Observational Clinical Trials.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with local research and clinical teams to maximise recruitment opportunity and be responsible for identifying eligible participants for observational clinical trials in order to approach them for potential recruitment. The post holder will take participant consent and obtain translational samples from the participant.
Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, an eye for detail, excellent I.T. and time management skills. The R&I directorate is a busy environment and working to deadlines with frequent interruption is the norm. Ability to work under pressure, and organise the priority of own workload is absolutely essential.
Liaising with participants and their relatives, as well as clinical and admin teams both within the Trust and externally to coordinate appointments.
