Job summary
The Lung cancer team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated band 8a Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)/Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work with the team. The service is based at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Liverpool.The successful applicant must be motivated and enthusiastic about the specialist care needs of this patient group. They should be able to demonstrate advanced communication skills, organisational and multi-tasking skills and have the ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently in a busy and fast paced working environment. The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to support, teach, develop and educate others and possess good leadership skills. They should be able to work autonomously and work as part of a strong multidisciplinary team in order to maintain and deliver a high quality of care.

Work with the Multidisciplinary team to ensure that your cancer service complies with the national standards for safety andquality, which are assessed through National Cancer Peer Review Process and actively contribute with work plans.
To work autonomously and seek collaborative relationships with others across and within professional boundaries.
To offer advice, support and education to clinical teams across the trust and network where appropriate
To offer the patient and families the skills of a clinical nurse specialist in symptom control, social, emotional and spiritual care.
Provision of specialist, high quality, expert nursing care and support for patients and their carers.
Deliver evidence based individualised patient care according to patient's changing health care needs, through holistic needs assessment (HNA).
To provide expert knowledge and advice in own specialist area, ensuring maintenance of clinical excellence underpinned by evidence-based practice.

In June 2020, we opened Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool, our spectacular new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter, providing state-of-the-art facilities as part of a £162m investment.
