The Pharmacy Technical Services Unit based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro currently has a vacancy for:
- A senior pharmacy technician (band 5 or as a band 4-5 progression)
- A science & manufacturing technician (band 4 qualified or as a developmental apprenticeship role)
- A Senior Pharmacy Assistant (band 3)- manufacturing
- A Senior Pharmacy Assistant (band 3)- transport services
These roles will be key members of the Pharmacy technical services team, manufacturing and delivering life-saving chemotherapy treatments and other medicines to patients at the Royal Cornwall NHS Hospital.
A comprehensive training programme is in place to support all the roles.
Main duties of the job
Working in our specialist facility you will be part of a dedicated team preparing vital medicines for our patients.
Our service lines are chemotherapy, radiopharmacy, aseptic and non-sterile manufacturing. You will assist in the preparation and delivery of injectable medicines such as chemotherapy, radiopharmaceuticals, intravenous nutrition and other life-saving therapies for our patients

On-call duties, weekend and Bank Holiday working on rotation is required as detailed in the job descriptions
These are full-time post working 37.5 hours per week.
