Job summary
To provide a high-profile visible presence and clinical expertise, managerial leadership and coordination of the operational function for the whole hospital on all 3 sites over a 24-hour period.
To be the point of contact for all staff within the Trust and to assist and support patients and the public with their enquiries and complaints. Liaise with the Senior Duty Manager (SDM), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) and On Call Director (OCD), Care Group management teams and department leads.
To contribute to and actively manage the emergency and elective admission process, across the site and capacity, in order to provide safe and appropriate patient placement and achievement of related Trust targets whilst maintaining contingency plans for emerging issues.
