Wheal Fortune Postnatal/Transitional Care Ward Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated person to manage the Postnatal and Transitional Care Ward within the Maternity Department who can provide high quality clinical support and leadership. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to demonstrate leadership and managerial skills as well as possessing clinical expertise in the speciality.
Main duties of the job
To provide effective, professional leadership and direction for the workforce and wider ward / department team.
Through ownership of their clinical area to be accountable for driving the Quality and Safety agenda.
To be a highly competent, knowledgeable and visible practitioner ensuring the provision of excellent, evidence based for all patients / clients.
Ensure the safe, effective and efficient management of all workforce and financial resources.
To act as a role model and skilled practitioner to inspire excellence.
To develop the Transitional Care services alongside the Transitional Care/Outreach lead.
To develop the Postnatal services and respond to national requirements and local population needs.
To foster an inclusive management culture.
To facilitate the development of all staff within the team.
To provide an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice.
To undertake delegated responsibility in the absence of the Clinical Matron.
