Ophthalmic Photographer
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Ophthalmic photographer to join our existing team of photographers.
The Eye Unit provides high quality care to patients in all clinical areas; Outpatients, Casualty, Day Case Unit and Pre Assessment clinics. Some previous experience in an Ophthalmic Photography Department is essential.
Based in the Eye Unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital you would be supporting the following clinics Wet Aged Related Macular Degeneration (WARM), Glaucoma, Vitreo retina and Diabetic. There may also be a requirement to provide the Ophthalmic Photography Service at West Cornwall Hospital and Falmouth Hospital so access to your own transport would be beneficial.
This is a permanent position 37.5 hours per week, over 4 days, working Monday to Saturday.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust Ophthalmic Photography Department, supporting the Ophthalmology Service within Cornwall.
The post holder will be providing a complex, specialist, diagnostic imaging and clinical investigation service to patients of all ages suffering from diseases of the eye and visual system, this includes providing the reports and baseline evaluations for review by the ophthalmic clinicians
After the necessary training and induction, the post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive imaging, photography and angiography service to the patients under the care of Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust. This includes travel to community hospitals within the county.
Training and supervision of other healthcare professionals and junior staff maybe required.
