Endoscopy Administrative Assistant
This busy specialty is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person who can offer excellent administrative support to assist in the smooth running of the endoscopy booking office.
The endoscopy administrative assistant will have responsibility for administrative duties within the endoscopy booking office and reception area. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical support to the assistant waiting list coordinators in a timely and accurate manner.
This role is full-time for 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
Main duties of the job
Take and process telephone calls in an appropriate manner. Telephone calls will involve contact with patients, carers and health professionals and may involve the provision of non clinical advice.
Book pre-op assessment telephone clinics for patients requiring extra workup prior to endoscopy procedure. Monitoring and validation of the myendo pre-assessment system for online assessments.
Provide cover for other members of staff as directed by the CAL.
Sort, distribute and prioritise internal/external post, including communication by e-mail.
