This post offers a wonderful opportunity for an highly experienced and specialised Band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapist to join an existing and very well established multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and support staff delivering services to children & young people of Cornwall & Isles of Scilly (IOS) community case load.

This post will be part of our senior leadership team comprising Occupational Therapy and Dietetic Clinical Leads, three team leads for East Mid & West Cornwall. You will be working closely with community paediatric consultant colleagues, Orthopaedic and Orthotics, along with the wider MDT and specialist centres when required.
The post holder must have the ability to travel independently with unrestricted access to a car insured for business purposes.
The post is a permanent, totalling 22.5 hours per week.consisting of 2 days clinical and 1 day Clinical lead dedicated time, although this is flexible to meet the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
To deliver high quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment for babies, children and young people with neurological and neuromuscular conditions which result in movement impairment and/or global developmental delay and physical and/or learning disabilities.
To support the continued developmental of our developmental pre-assessment clinics, CPIP service, hydrotherapy, SPOP, special Schools and responsibility for triage of Physiotherapy referrals for the service. You will require excellent communication, coaching/engaging , treatment, documentation, and assessment skills, and experience of managing change management, all of which are essential.
To work in partnership with children, their families, teachers, carers and multi-agency teams to develop and deliver treatment interventions and management programmes to target their individual needs.
To collaborate with colleagues both within the senior management team and in the wider health community, Children, Schools and Families (education and social care, children's equipment loan store) and other partnership agencies to deliver co-ordinated, family centred care to children.
Training and experience in communication and counselling skills to effectively offer advice, and to facilitate understanding, motivation and support of staff, children and families.
Knowledge and experience in evaluation of intervention and assessment findings is essential along with audit and service development are essential.
