Trust Doctor (F2-CT Equivalent) in Oncology

Job summary

The position starts from 03rd December 2025 for 8 months.

An exciting opportunity exists to appoint a Trust Doctor (F2-CT2 equivalent) post to the Oncology department at our hospital.

The post is suitable for doctors at F2 level and above and will join 3 other FY2 doctors to help provide high-level inpatient care for our oncology patients.

The post is supported by a skilled and experienced multi-disciplinary team.

The post is ideal for doctors wishing to gain more experience in oncology prior to application for core and specialist training. There will be opportunities to participate in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, weekly teaching and outpatient clinics.

Main duties of the job

Assessment and management of acute admissions to the Lowen Ward.

To complete daily ward rounds

Attend and lead daily multi-disciplinary board round

Assist in-patient management.

Assessment of patients in the Acute Oncology Service.

Support the Headland Chemotherapy Day Unit

Fulfil the duties of the weekly timetable including out of hours responsibilities.

Participate in Clinical Audit.

Participate in departmental Education and Training sessions.
