An opportunity has arisen fortwo fixed-term positions working with the Devon and Cornwall Care Record (DCCR) support team, based within Cornwall IT Services.

The Devon and Cornwall Care Record brings together patient data from a number of health and social care providers and presents it as a single record. This new system enables frontline staff to see details held by GP practices, hospitals, care homes and other organisations across Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, giving them a more complete view of a patient's history.

The DCCR Support Team supports over 300 health and social care stakeholders across the Southwest, with an increasing number of users every week. These posts will be integral in facilitating the rollout of the DCCR to clinicians based within Cornwall, particularly those working at Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske (RCHT).

Main duties of the job

Please note: as these are fixed-term positions, there is norequirement for participation in an on-call rota or out-of-hours working.

The team currently provides support from 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday .

Main duties include:

  • Ensuring all system accounts are set up and amended in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the system to ensure it is running optimally
  • Offering advice and guidance to users on the use of the software
  • Facilitating the sign-up of new health and social care organisations
