Midwife for : Enhanced Midwifery Continuity of Carer (MCoC) Wren Team

Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust

The closing date is 15 May 2025

Job summary

In line with the NHS 3-year delivery plan for maternity and neonatal services and the national Core20PLUS5 strategy, we will be commencing Enhanced Midwifery Continuity of Carer (MCoC) teams, that will provide additional support for women/people living in the most deprived areas with the aim to reduce inequalities in maternity and neonatal outcomes. We are seeking compassionate and highly motivated midwives for this vulnerable group to join our teams providing enhanced MCoC for women and birthing people and their families. This will be part of a shift-based continuity model of care where you will team caseload women and birthing people.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be a competent and confident midwife, encompassing the full scope of midwifery practice. You will need to show compassionate behaviour towards women and birthing people and their families and ensure that equality and diversity are respected, and women and birthing people are able to be partners in their own care. This will involve being on call for intrapartum care and you must have a valid driving licence and car. This may require travelling long distances at times. This team will be in addition to the current staffing model.
