Job summary
We are actively recruiting 2 posts for the role of a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician which will be either a hospital-only placement or in a fixed collaboration with either a GP surgery or community pharmacy across East, West and Mid Cornwall.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified people to train as a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. You will require at least 5 GCSE's at Grade 4 or above to include Mathematics, English and Science (to include Chemistry or Biology). Main duties of the job
Training over the 24 month period is by a combination of virtual classroom sessions with appropriate provider (Bradford College, Buttercups or University of East Anglia) and on the job experience at various sites, which may include GP Practice, Community Pharmacy and other secondary care organisations, following a rotational timetable, to build a portfolio towards gaining the qualification to become a certified Pharmacy Technician.
Upon successful completion of the qualification and training period, you will be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will be supervised and assessed throughout your training and will also be expected to commit your personal time to complete the assignments and underpinning knowledge elements of these courses.
This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week, however part time hours may be considered.
