This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to work in an expanding community-based service to support children and young people with a Neurodisability or neurodevelopmental disorder in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
We are looking for a highly motivated, confident dietitian who would like to work alongside multi-professional and multiagency colleagues to deliver a clinical dietetic service to disabled children with eating and drinking problems. The post holder will also work with the team on the roll out of a new, innovative education and training programme for professionals working with selective eaters.
We are willing to consider recruiting to a Band 5 development position for the right candidate. This would be an exciting opportunity for a qualified dietitian wishing to move into the paediatric specialty without existing experience.
Main duties of the job
This post will involve the dietitian working with children and young people and their families, groups, schools, communities and with carers across the age range from birth to 18 years old. The therapy and training will be delivered both virtually and face to face within the local community, covering a wide geographical area. This means the successful candidate would need unrestricted access to a motor vehicle, insured for the purposes, to get from one appointment to another. - Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent leading to Health Professions Council (HPC) Registration as a Dietitian.
- Membership of the British Dietetic Association
- unrestricted access to a motor vehicle, insured for the purposes, to get from one appointment to another

- Post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field.
- Membership of relevant Special Interest Group

- Comprehensive post registration experience.
- Experience of working autonomously with a dietetic caseload without direct supervision
