We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced diagnostic radiographer at our Bodmin Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), Cornwall, wishing to develop their experience as a link radiographer at this busy community site
The site has a recently installed, single Xray room with a Philips Digital.
This site currently supports the Minor Injury Unit 7 days per week and will soon include outpatient clinics and GP activity
You will be responsible for co-ordinating the service in line with clinical activity and equipment servicing as well as being the RPS for the site
This is a full time post 37.5hrs per week and currently provides an 0800-2000 service with support from rotational staff from the East and Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the day to day operational activity in the Xray department at the Bodmin CDC site including liaising with clinics and the MIU teams to ensure effective support of pathways
To be the radiation Supervisor for the Bodmin CDC Xray department
To perform a wide range of clinical imaging examinations/scans within Clinical Imaging as well as in theatres, on wards and in accident and emergency.
To work with the TAG Team Leader and Advanced Practitioner Radiographers to ensure the efficient and cost effective delivery of the TAG service.
To work as part of a team providing a 7 day and out of hours TAG service
