Virtual Consultant Dermatologist - Patch Testing
Applicants are welcomed to apply for the virtual post of Consultant Dermatologist - (Patch Testing) at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro.
An exciting opportunity is available to join a large, progressive, teaching hospital Dermatology Department in the heart of the desirable county of Cornwall. The successful candidate will join a team to deliver a virtual Patch Testing service for the county.
The department delivers a broad set of specialty and subspecialty services excellent access to all the required support services.
The Department is keen to further expand the already large portfolio of subspecialty services by appointing an enthusiastic and dynamic colleague willing to deliver a virtual Patch Testing service which has been tried and tested here in Cornwall. This model has enabled our patients to reduce their level of physical attendance and therefore increase access to services.
Main duties of the job
- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Patch Testing for Dermatology patients.
- Deliver outpatient clinics remotely using a virtual platform
- To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Dermatology service as appropriate
- Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students where
- To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical Governance and Audit.

- Fulfil duties of weekly timetable
- Lead on delivering a robust Dermatology service for Cornwall.
