Job summary
This exciting post offers the opportunity to experience work in the Rheumatology Department at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will receive clinical support, education and training from the consultants within the department to help them develop and improve key skills and encourage a career in Rheumatology.
There will be an expectation that you will attend and participate in departmental MDT meetings. There will be opportunities to participate in specialist clinics (Early Inflammatory Arthritis, Autoimmune Connective Tissue Disease, GCA) with access to departmental musculoskeletal ultrasound.
You will have protected time for development work which may include quality improvement projects, teaching and education, research, management and leadership opportunities.
There is no acute medicine or on-call commitment with this post.
You must have GMC registration with a licence to practice. Applications are welcome from those who wish to work less than full time
Main duties of the job
- Assessment and management of outpatients
- Assessment and management of in-patients
- Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings
- To have responsibility for active participation in continuing medical education
- To actively participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and Audit.
