Job summary

This is a great opportunity to develop your career in Business Administration by joining us in Blood Sciences Services at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Business Administrator you will be one of three team members and be a key member of the Blood Sciences Management Team.

Your role will be to provide a high-quality administrative support to the Head of Blood Sciences, Leads of Departments and Medical Teams.

Main duties of the job

You will be organising workloads and diaries, supporting meetings, maintaining/inputting data (Sends, Blood Transfusion), files, databases.

In addition, the post holders will provide a high quality administrative and secretarial support service to the Metabolic Medicine team and be the central point of contact coordinating information and queries coming into the office. Furthermore, the post holder will support with the monitoring of RTT performance within the service and any associated actions to improve.

You will be an aide in a of a wide range of projects, working in collaboration with the senior leadership team across Blood Sciences. This will involve the monitoring local action plans and to support the leads of the departments in delivering. You will also provide support in audits and delivery in outcomes from these. In addition, assist with identifying and documenting benefits that will be realised during and after change implementation.

You will have the opportunity to work within and across a variety of teams, developing your knowledge and skills in the hospital environment.
